Prayer for My Husband – Results

I have seen good results from praying this prayer for my husband.

Have you?

I have been praying this prayer for my husband for many years. I have seen changes in his attitudes, thinking, and priorities. I am so thankful that God gave me this prayer so long ago. My husband is a real family man now! He really cares about what happens with our children. He wants to do his part in teaching them important principles and truths that will help them to live their lives in a successful way that fulfills God’s purpose for their lives. He is much more attentive and affectionate with me, too.

I want to know if any of you have prayed this prayer or a similar prayer or if you asked me to pray for your marriage – I would be grateful if you would share with us what God has done in your marriage and in your husband’s heart.

Please leave a comment and testify about what God has done for your marriage, so we can glorify and praise God together.

Thank you in advance!

Comfort for Parents Who Mourn

I did not write this poem, a beautiful Spirit-inspired revision of The Night Before Christmas. But I found it on Facebook and wanted to share it for parents around this country who mourn. The Scriptures tell us to comfort His people. I feel that the Lord has told me personally to comfort His people. I read this poem last night and then during prayer this morning, I felt like the Lord said that this poem would comfort those who mourn. If we can look at everything from an eternal perspective, it will help us to handle the difficult – even impossible – situations we face in life. I hope this helps someone. And if someone knows who wrote this, please let me know so I can give proper credit.

Twas’ 11 days before Christmas, around 9:38
When 20 beautiful children stormed through heaven’s gate.
Their smiles were contagious, their laughter filled the air.
They could hardly believe all the beauty they saw there.
They were filled with such joy; they didn’t know what to say.
They remembered nothing of what had happened earlier that day.
“Where are we?” asked a little girl, as quiet as a mouse.
“This is heaven” declared a small boy.
“We’re spending Christmas at God’s house!”
When what to their wondering eyes did appear,
But Jesus, their savior, the children gathered near.
He looked at them and smiled, and they smiled just the same.
Then He opened His arms and He called them by name.
And in that moment was joy, that only heaven can bring
Those children all flew into the arms of their King
And as they lingered in the warmth of His embrace,
One small girl turned and looked at Jesus’ face.
And as if He could read all the questions she had
He gently whispered to her, “I’ll take care of mom and dad.”
Then He looked down on earth, the world far below
He saw all of the hurt, the sorrow, and woe,
Then He closed His eyes, and He outstretched His hand,
“Let My power and presence re-enter this land!
“May this country be delivered from the hands of fools.”
“I’m taking back my nation. I’m taking back my schools!”
Then He and the children stood up without a sound.
“Come now my children let me show you around.
Excitement filled the space, some skipped and some ran.
All displaying enthusiasm that only a small child can.
And I heard Him proclaim as He walked out of sight,
“In the midst of this darkness, I AM STILL THE LIGHT.”

10 Commandments for Raising Kids Who Love God

We can do things in such a way that will make our children more likely to love God. Raising 10 kids has given me the opportunity to test these 10 ideas about what those things might be. They have produced some good results. In this scope I share the top 10 principles I have used in raising my kids to see God as their Father and themselves as children of a loving King who made everything.

Marriage Retreat in the Mountains of North Carolina

My husband, Gary, and I went to a marriage retreat called Come Away. Hal and Melanie Young hosted the retreat. They are really good teachers and wonderful hosts with a heart for families and marriage.

You can find their website at Raising Real Men.

Watch this scope in which Gary and I talked about our time at the retreat – some of what we learned and what we experienced there.
